Sixteen (16) academic programmes in UNICAL set for NYSC Mobilisation.
Sixteen(16) new academic programmes have been successfully added to the NYSC Mobilisation App in readiness for appropriate Mobilisation.
According to Prof. Patrick Egaga, Dean of Students Affairs, the successful programmes include:
- Architecture
- Agricultural Engineering
- Fine and Applied art
- Peace and Conflict Studies
- Pharmacology
- Survey and Geo-informatics
- Urban and Regional Planning
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Petroleum Engineering
- Educational Psychology
- Mass Communication
- Music
- Physiotherapy
- Estate Management.
The Dean further hinted that “the development is coming on the heels of a remarkable fiftieth anniversary and convocation made possible through a strong request by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, to the Management of the NYSC Scheme.
In the request referenced above, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Obi, “humbly requested” the NYSC “to kindly note that all the aforementioned programmes have been successful in both resource verification and subsequent accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC) hence the need for their inclusion in the programme.
As it stands however, the effective Mobilisation of these stream will be in the upcoming BATCH B.
