Norwegian Ambassador to Nigeria visits Amurt Hospital, Okpuitumo, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The Ambassador and his team, who came in the company of Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Mr. Sunday Nwankwo, Chairman, Ikwo LGA, Hon. Oke Oreke, Deputy Principal Secretary to Ebonyi State Governor, Dr. Donatus Ilang, Commissioner for, Border, Peace and Conflict Resolution, Mr. Monday Nwigbo, Member II, Local Government Service Commission, among others, stormed the Okpuitumo Annex of Amurt Hospital, which happens to be one of the biggest in Ebonyi State in a grand style.
The traditional ruler of Okpuitumo Agaramugoede, His Royal Highness, Eze, Ezekiel Oyika Obo, the Agaramugoede II of Okpuitumo Ikwo Kingdom, welcomed the team and used the opportunity to appreciate the Norwegian Government for establishing Amurt Hospital in the area which according to him started 12 years ago as a dropped of water which turned to a mighty ocean. Eze Oyika said that the hospital had save a lot of lives, stressing that, people from far and near visit the hospital for professional medical attention.
The traditional ruler also used the opportunity to appreciate Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for giving the Ambassador and his team, a peaceful environment to make his visit a memorable one.
The Ambassador, in his speech, appreciated the good people of Okpuitumo for their warmth reception, and for a gift of a beautiful artwork that was presented to him by Okpuitumo people, through the Eze.
He assured the people of their willingness, and readiness to partner, and support the people whenever needs for such arises.
The team jointly inspected the facility and commended the staff of the hospital for keeping to their duties, and ensuring a good environment for the patients.
Highlights of the event were, Ikpobina cultural display, other cultural dances by 2 other groups.
