Senator Kingibe mourns victims of Karu incidents, calls for more attention to safety regulations.
The Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Hajiya Ireti Heebah Kingibe, has expressed dismay over the tanker explosion which occured on Karu Bridge, along the Abuja – Nyanya- Keffi Expressway Abuja, resulting in a fire that killed no fewer than 10 persons and destroyed at least 30 vehicles as well as another truck accident on the same spot, barely 16 hours after the explosion.
The lawmaker commiserates with families of the victims, Abuja residents and the entire country over these tragic and avoidable incidents.
She reiterated her earlier call on road users, particularly those conveying inflammable materials to be particularly careful and urges the relevant authorities to pay strict attention to safety regulations in the transportation and Road Traffic sector, across the country.
Kingibe prays for the quick recovery of those injured and that the Almighty Allah grant the dead eternal rest.
