Ebonyi State Governor suspends three Commissioners.
Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has suspended three Commissioners.
The three commissioners were suspended for one month for being absent in the day’s meeting without permission.
The commissioners involved are the commissioner for Grants and Donor Agencies, Mr. Solomon Azi, the commissioner for Environment, Chief Victor Uzoma Chukwu and the commissioner for Rural Development, Chief Ikeuwa Omebe.
Governor Nwifuru directed that the suspended commissioners be stripped off their privileges within the period of the suspension.
In a related development, Ebonyi State government has approved the construction of staff quarters, female hostel and health clinic at NYSC orientation camp, Afikpo to provide conducive environment for both staff and corps members of the scheme.
In a release by the state commissioner for Information, Chief Jude Okoro, the state government also approved fifty (40) million naira for the construction of a central store for the ministry of water resources to protect the ministry’s equipment and consumables.
